This cute, mid-century CWS Ltd cocktail cabinet has been painted a rich navy which is on the cusp of black. It's a highly sophisticated colour which will work beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors. It's small and slim proportions make it ideal for those who lack space or don't want a large drinks cabinet dominating a room.
The teak veneered doors and drawers have been carefully stripped, cleaned and sanded by hand to preserve the wood grain detail and protected with a highly durable satin varnish to give the wood a warm, soft sheen.
Comprising of two drawers which are in good, clean condition - perfect for storing drink mixing/making equipment and tumblers.
Behind the top left hand drop down door you will find a newly installed mains powered, LED strip, motion sensor light which illuminates the drinks making area. The original mirror sadly was damaged so has been replaced with a gold acrylic mirror with frosted stripes in homage to the original design. Drinks can be prepared on the original Formica preparation surface which is immaculate. One small glass shelf sits suspended on non height adjustable shelf supports to keep smaller items neatly out of the way such as cocktail sticks.
The glazed right hand side display cabinet features two sliding glass doors with notches (pictured without). Another set of newly installed mains powered, strip LED lights, complete with a remote control and dimmable functionality allows the cabinet to illuminate your treasured drinkware or curios any time of the day and provide a warm ambient glow to your room. The same gold mirror with pin stripe frosting features in this area too, to create a cohesive look.
The bottom cupboard is fully painted and ideal for storing bottles and tall glasses. It is 30cm tall, 28cm deep and 42cm wide.
This is an old piece of furniture. This item has had a previous life and it has some minor imperfections commensurate with its age along with expected 'wear and tear'. The one previous owner has made some superficial repairs to the veneer which may be noticeable upon very close. Notably, the veneer on the dropdown door has a small indentation (approx. 8mm x 5mm). I could have removed or painted the veneer but my philosophy is is that someone went to great trouble to retain the beauty of the wood many years ago and I did not want to undo that - it is a vintage piece of furniture after all! Please also be aware that one of the sliding glass doors for the display cabinet area has a chipped corner which is not noticeable when the glass is in position. Due to these factors this piece is offered at a lower cost than it would otherwise be. This cabinet has been restored and refinished by hand so please expect a high quality finish rather than a machine finish.

Absolutely love the cabinet, is great quality finish, just as described and you can tell how much care and attention Paul devotes to each piece from the finish, to communication to packaging/delivery and then lovely to also get little pot of paint to repair any accidents (which in our house are likely!!). Sorry took so long to post review, had lots of fun filling cabinet to display things that have been hidden away in boxes which reminded me to finally submit this. Thanks Paul, love it!
