Black and Gold Drinks Cabinet (Reduced - see description!)

This large and impressive glass display cabinet arrived at Percy & Albert Interiors in a poor state. It has been painted in an intense and classic black paint called Coal Black by Fusion Mineral Paint. The backing board of the cabinet has been lined with imitation gold leaf and sealed with a satin lacquer to give a soft golden glow.

The central door has been stripped and refinished by hand allowing the true tone and colour of the wood grain to show through. Thing gold and black borders add not only interest but help mask a couple of imperfections with the veneer. The door has been sealed in a flat varnish making it extra durable whilst having a very soft, subtle sheen - almost like a buffed wax look.

IMPORTANT! The glass doors of this cabinet have various scratches (caused by the previous owner). Despite my best efforts to polish them out with cerium oxide, they remain. Unfortunately, I hadn't spotted them until the cabinet was finished. They are most noticeable when the cabinet lights are switched on, less so if the lights are dimmed or off. It is, for this reason, this cabinet is offered at a significant discount. Whilst imperfections are common with vintage and upcycled furniture, the scratches - for some people, may be unacceptable hence the reduced price. The cabinet features 4 brand new safety glass shelves, which are height adjustable and mains powered, remote controlled and dimmable LED lighting has been installed to illuminate the cabinet contents and give a soft, golden ambient glow. Please also note that the cabinet comes with two keys only. Either key opens both glazed doors and the central wooden door.



PRE-LOVED FURNITURE
This is not a brand-new piece of furniture. This item has had a previous life and has imperfections commensurate with its age and has typical 'wear and tear'. It has been restored and refinished by hand so please expect a high-quality finish rather than a machine finish.
